I&RS Committee

The purpose of the Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) Committee is to work collaboratively with staff and families to develop, implement, monitor and adjust interventions that support students who are experiencing learning, behavior, or health difficulties. The I&RS team is composed of the School Counselor, Student Services/Basic Skills Teachers, and the School Learning Consultant. When a student is referred to the team, a meeting is scheduled with the referring teacher, parent, the I&RS team, and other professional staff members as needed. During this meeting, strategies and interventions are discussed, and a plan is developed, in order to address the student's needs and pinpoint the specific targets for improvement. The I&RS Committee meets once a month. For additional information, please contact Amanda Schwartz at 856-783-6261 ext. 509 or by email at [email protected].
